Assistant director

Ken Britton

Officially I'm Kendall but everyone calls me Ken and I've been been a proud member for over 4 years. Ive had several roles, Road marshall, Road captain and for 2019 assistant director.

I've been riding for more years than I can remember but have been on Harleys since 2002 and now enjoy both local ride outs as well as longer European trips.

Prague 2015 was certainly a highlight with so many famous places visited in two weeks of glorious weather. Mind you, a Sunday ride down to Pembroke can be just as enjoyable.

Looking forward to 2019 with my fellow road crew, Chapter members and wherever our Harleys take us!

Safety officer

Alan Holland

Having been involved with bikes all my life I officially became part of the HOG family with BMC as a charter member some 5 years ago and now have two official roles as Road Captain and Safety Officer.

I’ve also been involved with all types of Motorsport and for the last 15 years been running bike track days at the local Pembrey circuit. Racing has been a large part of my life, at all levels from club events to British Superbike Championships.

Outside HOG I have my own Landscaping and Handyman business and am a lifetime Man Utd supporter

I look forward to bringing this experience to my fellow chapter members.

Charities Officer

Sharon Britton

Hi, I'm Sharon Britton and as you may have guessed I'm Ken's wife. I go on most rides as Ken's pillion - both at home and abroad and really enjoy all the miles we've done, which is quite a lot!

I've decided to take a more active role for 2019 taking up the position of BMC Charity officer. Ive been helping local organisations around Swansea and Neath areas and enjoy it very much. It's time to further involve the BMC members in their charity work. Supporting both local and national causes.

We all look forward to a successful year of fundraising and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

Head Road Captain

Richard Thomas

Hi, my name is Richard Thomas, I've been riding motorbikes since the age of 12 and  joined the Black Mountains in 2015 a year after it was formed and not long after I joined the road crew. It was the best thing I ever did because I love riding regularly with the camaraderie of the Black Mountains.

For me there is nothing more enjoyable than on a weekend meeting with  friends i have made in the BMC and going for a ride together, if I had known what the club was like I would have joined alot sooner.
In summary I am looking forward to meeting you all out there and going on many rides together.

Lady of Harley &

Meriel Symons

Having ridden bikes all my life two years ago I began living the dream,  bought a Harley and joined the Black Mountain Chapter. Little did I know that not only was I acquiring an awesome bike but also a whole new experience within the HOG family. I've covered thousands of miles and  ridden to places Id never have gone to alone. Ive laughed , cried and made friendships that will last a lifetime with people from far and wide. Im proud to have been a Road Marshall and to have been encouraged to become a Road Captain.

This year is going to be a busy one with me also becoming Lady of Harley and Historian. With many  HOG adventures planned this year it really is a great time to be a member of the Chapter!

Nigel Lewis

For me, being a member and officer in the first HOG Chapter in Wales is a wonderful privilege.  Inexperienced,  I joined the chapter a few years ago just to go riding in a group but being in the chapter has surpassed all that.  Little did I know about the great friendships I would make, the characters I would meet and the places I would go on our wide glide!

Life changing experiences, wonderful companions, fantastic routes and beautiful destinations and plenty of support and laughter along the way - that’s the Black Mountains way.

Paul Bromhead

Paul has been riding only Harleys since he passed his direct access in 2004 and has ridden over 135,000 HOG miles.

He has owned many Harleys and will be riding a 2019 Road Glide Special. He was a 10 year member of the Great Western Chapter before joining Black Mountains Chapter on inception as a Charter Member. He is now a 5 year member.  He has been a Road Captain for both Chapters and became our first Charity Officer.
